Meet Your Captain, Scott Pracht

Captain Scott Pracht, USCG Licensed, Boat Charter Captain, Tampa Bay
Captain Scott Pracht, USCG Licensed, retired deputy of the Sheriff’s Marine Unit, over 40 years of boating experience.

With over 40 years’ boating experience and decades on Tampa Bay including time in the Sheriff’s Marine Unit, I know Tampa Bay, and I know safe boating. I offer safe, memorable boat charters on the waters of Tampa Bay.

I’m originally from Long Beach, NY and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1997.  I started boating when I was 15 years old and love everything about it. I love being on, under, and around the water.

I retired as a deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office where I worked on the Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit for several years.  I have extensive training in the marine environment, which makes me appreciate the water even more. With all the training and experience in boating throughout the years, I can make your charter safe and enjoyable.

I Know Tampa Bay, I Know Boating Safety

The bottom line: I know Tampa Bay, where we can go and where we can’t go. And I have a keen understanding of safety and how to operate a boat safely on local waters.

Years of Training on Tampa Bay

I have years of training on Tampa Bay with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and law enforcement training always includes safety as a top priority.

While not directly related to boat charters, some the training included Commercial Vessel Boarding FLETC, Port Securty-FLETC, Personal Watercraft MacDill Airforce Training, and Law Enforcement Airboat Training.
